The two resorts of Cha Am and Hua Hin are around 15 miles apart on the Gulf of Thailand, around 2.5 hours drive from Bangkok.

Less well known than elsewhere, Cha Am and Hua Hin are less developed and are favoured by the Thai Royal Family.

The resorts make a great destination for those looking for a more traditional Thai beach resort.

Cha Am is the quieter of the two, popular on weekends but quiet in the week, with a long beachfront and a laid back atmosphere
