There is no time difference between Gran Canaria and the UK
A three course meal will cost approximately €14.00/£9.00, with a glass of beer approximately
€1.80.00/£1.15 or a bottle of wine approximately €5.30/£3.40.
A short taxi ride will be approximately €7.30/£5.00 approximately.
Visas are not needed if you are a member of the EU, as long as your stay is below
90days.
The dialling code from the UK is 0034 (remember to drop the zero from the beginning
of the number being called if calling to the UK).

Cash machines are widely available throughout the island.
The voltage in Gran Canaria is 220V a European adapter is needed.
The shops are generally open Monday to Saturday 9.00 am until about 1.00 pm, closing
for a couple of hours in the afternoon and opening again from 4.30 pm until about
8.00 pm.
Banks are generally open Monday to Friday 9.00 am until 2.00 pm.
Please be aware of ticket touts, they can be selling illegal trips on the streets
and beaches.
